We invite you to explore the Hungarian Operahouse, in the downtown of Budapest (easily reach with Metro 1, at Opera stop) which is one of the most significant heritage building from the 19th century.
It's unique interior decorations and frescos with Neo Renessaice style will charm you.The first performance was held in 1884.The stairway and auditorium were designed by Miklos Ybl, a leading architect of the period.Puccini staged premiers of two of his operas here.


The Opera House can be visited only with a local guide. These tours are especially for individual tourists.
The following rooms can be visited during the guided tours: Auditorium, Main Staircase, Main Refreshment Room, Smoking Corridor, Royal Parlour, Royal Staircase, Székely Bertalan Parlour.


We offer tours in 6 languages:
English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Hungarian.

Tours take appr. 45-50 minutes.

• Reception for separate groups is possible in the main buffet of the Opera House during the visit from the simplest cold-warm dishes till the extra choice.

• In case of prior request, a surprise concert can be organised for the group in the Main Staircase of the Opera House, performed by the artists of the Hungarian State Opera House.
