He was born with name Reginald Kenneth Dwight. He began his music career immediately after Royal Academy of Music. His first music group, Bluesology was created in 1961.
He took his name from the saxophone player of Bluesology Elton Dean, and from the leader of the group Long John Baldry.

Between 1970-76 were published 14 fantastic albums.

He created the Elton John AIDS Foundation in 1992 in the USA and in England.
The 90's brought many new things: Co-operation with Tim Rice, film music of the Lion King, music of the musicals of Aida and Billy Elliott.
Elton works until today ever more, and it is ever more busily.
